PAHT now has two Charity Shops operating side by side.
The shop at 64 Main Rd (behind the fish and chip shop) is the clothing and accessories shop.
The current shop at 66 Main Rd is all homewares including Manchester, kitchenware, antiques, plants and books.
Check them both out - they are the main source of income for the Pelorus Area Health Trust.
Money earned through the Shops is used to provide funding in the form of grants and donations to local community health initiatives and projects. Annual donations to health and well being services in the Pelorus area is funded from shop sales. See the list of donees here.
The shops are staffed purely by volunteers who generously donate their time, energy, laughter and hospitality to the Havelock Charity Shops. They work hard to clean, repair, sort and mend all product donations. Some volunteers even knit gorgeous kids' clothes, sew cheerful cloth bags, create amazing craft pieces or bring in garden produce. This is on top of working in the shops keeping everything in order, serving customers and providing information on health and wellbeing services available in the Pelorus area.

Volunteers WantedWe need fun, friendly, enthusiastic volunteers to give just a few hours of their time to support a local Trust that promotes health care in the Pelorus Area. If you are a people-person, organised, and would like to work with a lovely group of ladies as a volunteer, then we would love to hear from you! Please give your contact details to a shop volunteer to pass on to our Manager.
