The Havelock Charity Shop is the main source of income for the Pelorus Area Health Trust.
Money earned through the Shop is used to provide funding in the form of grants and donations to local
community health initiatives and projects. Annual donations to health and well being services in the Pelorus area is funded from shop sales. See the list of donees here.
The shop is staffed purely by volunteers who generously donate their time, energy, laughter and hospitality to the Havelock Charity Shop. They work hard to clean, repair, sort and mend all product donations. Some volunteers even knit gorgeous kids' clothes, sew cheerful cloth bags, create amazing craft pieces or bring in garden produce. This is on top of working in the shop keeping everything in order, serving customers and providing information on health and wellbeing services available in the Pelorus area.
